The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a movie you can’t help but like. Think The Man with One Red Shoe meets Adaptation. Equal parts meta and Hollywood formula. Leaving you guessing at times if they are acting in this movie, or a different movie. Cage is back. Not that he ever left.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a Wes Anderson movie, so that’s all you really need to know. Each scene is a photograph. Each word has a purpose. And each comedic beat is timed perfectly. “If what I think is happening is happening… [1… 2…] it better not be happening.”

Molly’s Game is a solid movie with storytelling that grew more predictable as the movie went on. Think of it as Rounders meets Alias. It’s a movie of good people doing bad things, and bad people doing good things.

On this episode of 99% Invisible today I learned how much different Japan approaches zoning and traffic planning. In that they prioritize children safely walking to school above everything else. And that is why they have something called the Walking School Bus.

Bullet Train will most likely be my worst movie seen in 2022. Think Kill Bill meets Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells.

There are few things funnier than watching two friends go at each other with sharp wits. Two great legends of comedy.
